Choosing a Laser Hair Removal Clinic

»

Knowledge, skill, training, and experience are key. Salons cannot offer you service equal to that of a specialized clinic like Epiderma. It is also a good idea to double-check what is included in a treatment before making your choice, since it varies widely among clinics. Epiderma offers you much more, period!

Don’t entrust your body to just anyone:

Epiderma has elected never to sacrifice quality in favour of low cost. However, our prices are competitive and our financing programs are suited to every budget.

It's not just the price that matters when choosing laser hair removal. The choice of its laser hair removal clinic is just as important if not more.

We know we are the only network of clinics to offer you the same. As the Canadian leader in the field, we invite you to visit more than one clinic to compare but also to ask the right questions.

What kind of laser is used?

Verify this is a laser and not an IPL device (IPL - intense pulsed light).

Hair removal with intense pulsed light (IPL) is NOT laser hair removal

The light energy produced by the IPL device does not concentrate on just one target because it uses a range of wavelengths so light goes in various directions. Therefore, the results are not as successful as with the diode laser hair removal and number of treatments required to achieve definitive results is often much higher than laser hair removal diode.

As IPL device is generally cheaper to buy than a laser diode, the selling price to the consumer is lower, but patients treated with an IPL tend to have the largest number of complications and the results less interesting.

Epiderma uses the diode laser, the very best laser hair removal technology on the market, to provide treatments that meet high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

What training do technicians from other clinics receive? Is there permanent medical management personnel for the laser hair removal practice?

Our technicians are all trained in aesthetics or in electrolysis and, moreover, receive the most comprehensive training in laser hair removal in the industry.

The training of more than 137 hours is sanctioned by our Medical Director Dr. Renaud Saint-Laurent and supervised by Myriam Lescault, experienced graduate nurse and Quality Manager for epiderma.

All our technicians must also take and pass three annual continuing training sessions to maintain their right to practice laser hair removal at epiderma.

Why is medical management staff essential?

Because we do not entrust your body to just anyone and laser hair removal should be performed in optimal conditions of safety and efficiency.

Epiderma has a permanent medical department responsible for updating the training program and choosing the technology employed. The medical director, an experienced physician, serves as a reference source for staff.

What are the clinic's hours?

Epiderma clinics are open Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm, except Ontario, and Saturday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Some epiderma clinics are even open on Sunday.

Are there financing options?

Epiderma offers different advantageous financing plans.

Does the clinic offer the advantages of a network?

Epiderma is present throughout Québec and in Ottawa, Ontario, and offers the same standardized treatment under the same controlled conditions. Moving? Traveling for your job? Do not worry: your medical records follow you wherever you need to be treated.

What kind of expertise has this clinic developed?

Epiderma has more than 85,000 clients. More than 800,000 successful laser hair removal treatments have been administered to date. Our expertise is unequalled in Canada.
