What is wrinkles treatment without surgery?
Wrinkle treatments offered by epiderma are not permanent and consist of the injection of protein substances like Botox Cosmetic® and fillers such as Juvederm®, EsthelisTM or Teosyal®.
All treatments are done by our physicians, overseen by our medical director Dr Renaud Saint-Laurent and our Director of Quality and Training Myriam Lescault, a graduate nurse.
Injection of protein substances like Botox Cosmetic®
A protein substance is injected into the neuromuscular junction between the muscle and the nerve to block muscular contractions. It relaxes certain facial muscles to attenuate or prevent the appearance of expression wrinkles. By the way, did you know that the Botox® has been used for over 20 years and is approved by Health Canada for over 10 years?
Injectable gels such as Juvederm®, EsthelisTM or Teosyal®
Injectable gels, also known as dermal fillers, are used to fill the furrows caused by wrinkles and restore volume to facial areas like the lips, cheekbones and brow bone for example.
Epiderma uses hyaluronic acid filler for its anti-wrinkle treatments.
Soft, moisturizing, non-permanent and biodegradable, hyaluronic acid is a complex sugar that occurs naturally in the body.
